As a Japanese person, who got an opportunity to go into business in Vietnam, Hanoi, I would like to keep a respectful attitude.
At the moment when I heard these words, I started to feel knot of tension without thingking. It took me more than one year to prepare. I visited and walked around Hanoi every day. Since I decided to go into business in Vietnam, I hired exchange students from Vietnam in Japan.I observed the young Vietnamese, while we were working together. I participated in seminars and read a lot of books. The differences between Japanese and Vietnamese companies, home, social customs and structures, their mind at work – I studied them hard.

Every time I came to Hanoi I met and talked a lot with: a person in charge of a Consulting company; Japanese people who are married with Vietnamese and work in Hanoi; and other Japanese who already built their companies there. The troubles which come from social customs differences. A failure story that makes you laugh unintentionally. Impatience and worries based on stuck in the business which doesn’t go smoothly. There were a lot of ideas. So many funny and serious stories which could become a book!
Then, these words ran into me.
